5 European countries providing free education for Indian students

Having a foreign university degree is the childhood dream of many Indian students. But it’s not that easy. Going to a foreign country for studies is a deal of lakhs of rupees which gets hard for any Indian middle-class family to afford. The interest rate on educational loans is also very high. To cut off the expenses, in this article, students will get to know the names of a few European countries which facilitate International students with free education. They are as followed –

Norway

Amongst the top 10 happiest countries in the world, Norway offers free education to 2 students of any nationality for the graduate, postgraduate, and Directorate level programs. The Norwegian government utilizes taxpayer funds to fund education, allowing international students and native students to attend state universities for free. But the students need to be proficient in Norwegian as most undergraduate courses are taught in their local language. Hence, while preparing for your dream abroad university, I would suggest you add learning Norwegian as a part of your preparation.

Germany

Known to be superior in its engineering skills, Germany, which has previously been ranked as the fourth most popular destination for international students in the world, is an attractive option for prospective students due to the low fee structure of its universities. Tuition fees for undergraduate students at all public German universities were removed in 2014 by Germany’s 16 states. Now domestic and international undergraduates at almost all German public institutions can currently study for free, with only a nominal fee per semester to support administration and other expenditures. Germany charges €150-250 (₹11,500-19,000 approx.) which is much lesser than most Indian universities.
